Built-in libraries and study walls are the honest test of a woodgrain, because the eye has time to look. This walnut holds up — tone changes across the sheet, and the Nadir texture is deep enough that the relief is visible from the middle of a room, not only at arm's length. Specify it where variation is the intention: open shelving, feature joinery, the exposed face of a stair-side cupboard.
