Eclipse™ is a thermal-lacquered surface rather than a pressed laminate — a different product line from the TFL decors, and the answer to the one complaint every matte dark kitchen eventually generates.
Not to be confused with K90 Eclipse. K90 Eclipse (Omnia) is a brown woodgrain decor. Eclipse™, on this page, is the lacquered anti-fingerprint product line — six colours, none of them K90.
A deep matte surface normally shows every touch, because the microscopic roughness that kills the shine also holds the oil from a fingertip. Eclipse™ is lacquered to a gloss level below 2 — flatter than most matte laminates — while the coating itself resists the marking. In practice it means a black or deep-toned handleless kitchen you can cook in without wiping the doors twice a day.
It also takes scratches better than a standard matte: Level 3 scratch resistance under NEMA LD 3-2005. Panels ship with a removable protective peel coat, which stays on through installation and comes off at handover.
Handleless slab kitchens in dark colours, where the whole point is an uninterrupted surface. Tall pantry runs and appliance garages that get pushed rather than pulled. Bathroom vanities in family homes. Anywhere the alternative was a sprayed matte lacquer that would eventually need refinishing.

The difference between Eclipse™ and a standard matte only shows when you put a hand on both. We keep them side by side for exactly that reason.
