The kitchen is two materials and almost nothing else. White handleless fronts disappear into the walls, and every surface that is not cabinetry is the same dark grey marble — island, splashback and worktop — so the stone reads as one continuous mass rather than three separate applications.
The slatted timber wall behind the hood is the only warm note in the room, and it is deliberately the last thing you notice. It runs floor to ceiling to give the hood somewhere to sit, and it stops the dark stone from turning the room cold.
Upstairs the same discipline, softer: floating vanities in white with a thick honed stone top, wall-mounted taps so nothing interrupts the surface, and a single undermount basin per run.
