Almost every surface in this space is cabinetry of one kind or another. The curved timber ceiling, the tiered bench seating, the reception desk and the product display wall were all drawn, fabricated and installed as joinery, which is the only way to get the curve to carry continuously from ceiling to wall to bench.
The reception desk is the piece that had to be perfect. It is a single sculpted white volume with a concealed working side and a lit reveal at the floor, so it appears to hover.
Retail joinery gets treated harder than any kitchen — hundreds of people a day, cleaned nightly — so the finishes were specified for commercial wear and the edges detailed to survive trolleys and bags.
