Stone Island House

The island is the piece — a thick stone slab with a full-height end panel, so it reads as a solid block rather than as a worktop on cabinets. That means the base has to carry real weight and the services have to be routed before the stone lands.

Behind it, black tall storage runs wall to wall and takes the ovens, the fridge and the pantry, so the island can stay clear.

Walnut appears in the living joinery and again in the dressing room, warming a palette that is otherwise stone and black.
